Our 3 000ha private game farm is situated in a mountain bushveld paradise in the Waterberg 275 kilometers north of Johannesburg. If the African bush is calling you, you won’t find a better place to enjoy it than Lindani. Our farm has plains game ranging from little warthogs to our wonderful giraffe. Come and explore our piece of paradise which offers an abundance of wildlife and a chance to reconnect to what really matters. We have proudly established mountain biking trails that will challenge the experienced and at the same time offer novice riders a very rewarding ride. The design of the trails, the beautiful scenery through which they pass and the complete sense of isolation from the outside world all make mountain biking at Lindani an unforgettable experience.
Our 8 stretches of single track (50kms) that will challenge the experienced and at the same time offer the less experienced riders a very rewarding ride. Technical stretches are all marked to enable riders to take the necessary precautions. The design of the trails, the beautiful scenery through which they pass and the complete sense of isolation from the outside world all make mountain biking at Lindani a unique adventure.
For the kiddies and less experienced riders, we have plenty of recreational riding on firm farm roads which provide hours of fun! There’s also a bike park for the younger generation to push their boundaries and for those mountain bikers wanting to improve their cross country skills.

Hiking / Walking
Lindani is made for hiking – with four circular Green Flag Status trails (35kms). The topography offers the hiker a wide range of visual and physical experiences – vistas, mountains, valleys, perennial streams, kloofs, towering sandstone cliffs, open savannah bushveld, lichen-covered rock formations and a variety of large bushveld trees. No need to worry about getting lost with our well-marked trails that are great for stretching the legs. A map with contours and profiles is provided and trails can be walked with or without a guide.
1. Kloof Trail – 7.3kms, easy, nearest houses are Stone House and Bush Camp.
2. Koperspruit Trail – 7.6kms, easy, nearest houses are Stone House, Loft, Thabeng and Motseng.
3. Mountain Trail – 10.1kms, moderately difficult, nearest houses are Bush Camp, Maroela and Molope.
4. Melkrivier Trail – 11.2kms, moderately difficult, nearest houses are Motseng, Loft and Thabeng.
It is not necessary to be a serious hiker to enjoy walking at Lindani. The varied scenery offers plenty for those looking to walk shorter distances than the Hiking Trails.

We now offer a TREE WALK to enable guests to identify some of the many tree varieties found on Lindani. Trees are numbered and a list of names to match is provided.

The Lindani Farm kitchen has established a reputation for supplying good freshly prepared food which is delivered to your house on the day required. Avoid the hassle of self-catering without having to pay restaurant prices. The menu offers a wide selection to meet your requirements for your stay. Breakfast requirements are bought in and placed in your house for you to prepare.
Picnic Baskets – Can be ordered from the Lindani Farm Kitchen for you to enjoy a traditional picnic at one of our four beautiful picnic sites.
Makgethelo – Our new lapa on the Kopperspruit now offers Sunset Suppers out in the bush. Guests who book a supper can opt to be driven to and from the site in our game drive vehicle.

The Farm Kitchen is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
Due to the extensive biodiversity at Lindani, there is so much to see and do.
Game Viewing: Lindani has an attractive range of game – giraffe, kudu, (buffalo in a controlled area), waterbuck, eland, zebra, wildebeest, red hartebeest, impala, bushbuck, and various other mammals. Guests are free to drive themselves anywhere on the farm roads, other than in the private lodge areas, throughout the day. Guests are not permitted to do night drives aside from the guided drives provided below. Motorbikes as well as quad bikes are NOT allowed on the premises.
Birding & Nature Walks: There are many different habitats on the farm – bush, forest, open fields, and dams. This brings with it a large variety of birds. There are over 230 species on the bird list at Lindani. Guests are free to bird anywhere on the property other than around lodges that they aren’t staying at. We provide guests with a bird list and bird guide book at each lodge to assist with the identification of the different species.
Biodiversity & Scenery: The Waterberg has over 2000 plant species with a variety of flowering trees in particular. The trees with their elegant shapes make a major contribution to the beauty of Lindani. A tree list is provided plus guidebooks are available in each lodge to assist with identification. The best time for veld flowers in late November and December, depending on the early summer rainfall. The area is graced with some of South Africa’s most pristine rivers whose wilderness quality is unparalleled. Astronomers familiar with the South African scene also agree that the Waterberg is one of the best sites in the country to view the wonders of the universe.
Game Drives (2 1/2 – 3 hours)
Experience Lindani in an open land cruiser either in the early morning or late afternoon. Drives must be booked at least a day in advance through the office.
