We offer a variety of leisurely self-driving safaris: from self-catering, self-camping tours to fully catered trips. Our tour fees include all your camping, accommodation and park fees, as well as listed activities.

Our safari experiences are ideal for nature lovers, photographers or those who simply enjoy spending time in the unspoiled African wilderness. Day 1 (16 Feb 2019)
The group will meet at 17h00 at the Kozi Bay Lodge. Where we will be staying for the duration of the weekend on a dinner/bed & breakfast basis. Enjoy evening drinks and get to know our safari companions better. The group will have dinner at the Lodge.

Day 2 (17 Feb 2019)
After a long day of driving from Gauteng, you can relax the morning. After lunch/dinner, it’s time to tackle the sandy tracks to witness one of the oldest rituals on the planet. Most of the afternoon/evening will be spend searching/watching for sea turtles laying eggs or hatchling, dashing to the ocean in a race against predators and survival. Enjoy dinner at the Lodge.

Day 3 (18 Feb 2019)
Enjoy an early breakfast at the Lodge. It’s time for Kosi Bay Estuary. Go for a walk along the golden beach or snorkel in the Estuary of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park a World Heritage site. The selection of fish is mind-blowing on this reef. The best is that you need not to be a diver, no experience needed just a snorkeling mask will do. Enjoy dinner at the Lodge.

Sani Pass(Summer Trip), Lesotho
22-26 March 2019

Spend the long weekend at the four stars Sani Pass Hotel in the Drakensberg Mountains and drive up the challenging Sani Pass, which lies in no man’s land between South Africa and Lesotho, to the highest pub in Africa.
Enjoy a picnic on top of the world at Black Mountain Pass at 3 264m above sea level, and visit a traditional Basotho village.
Explore the beauty of the Midlands with visits to local attractions in the area of Underberg/Himeville.
A 5-day, 4-night long fully catered weekend tour (dinner, bed, and breakfast).
This tour can accommodate 20 people.
Day 3 (24 March 2019)
After a hearty breakfast, we head out to Black Mountain Pass for a picnic at 08h30, 3 265m above sea level. Remember to pack a picnic bag and goodies for the day. A steep rocky climb and descent await those who want to tackle it, the rest of us can take the easy road to the top.
En route back we will stop at a traditional Basotho Village and learn more about their culture. Please bring some clothing/shoes/blankets/pot & pans (donations-not cash) that will change the lives of these very poor people. The Sani Mountain Lodge and Pub will be our last stop for a little something to ease the nerves prior to descending down Sani Pass again.
We will meet at the hotel lounge to exchange our experiences of the past days in the unknown and later enjoy dinner at the Hotel’s dining room.

Day 4 (25 March 2019)
After a late breakfast, it’s time to explore the Midlands or enjoy a round of golf, trout fishing, horse riding or the hotel SPA to name just a few activities that are on offer in the area. For the more adventurous, tackle the hiking trail to the San-Bushmen drawings. A farewell dinner will be ready at 19h00.

Namibia is a land of extremes with wide horizons, contrasting landscapes. It is a country that so much to offer explorers. Namibia is definitely a country that one always yearns to visit again and again.

Day 5 (22 April 2019)

En route to the old German town of Luderitz, we should see the Wild Horses of the Namib. You can explore the town’s rich heritage. The ghost town of Kolmanskop will be one of the stops on our day trip. Once you have experienced/lived the diamond dream, why don’t you explore the town?

Day 6 (23 April 2019)

It’s time to travel along one of the most beautiful roads (D707) in Namibia. This road is known for its scenic vistas due to the way that the route arches around the Namib Desert. The historical Duwisib castle is on our to-do-list for day 7.

Day 7 (24 April 2019)

From Duwisib we travel through World’s End and the Namibrand Nature Reserve. Our destination will be Sesriem for the next three nights close to the dunes of Sossusvlei. Each private campsite offers its own ablution block.

Day 8 (25 April 2019)

The world-renowned dunes of Sossusvlei await us and the Sesriem Canyon. This will be an early morning rise to catch the sun rising over the spectacular dunes of Sossusvlei, we need to leave camp at 05h30 to catch the sunrise over the dunes of Sossusvlei during the “magic hour”.
A visit to Dooie Vlei (Dead Vlei), climbing “Big Daddy” and Dune 45 is an experience not to be missed! We round the day off with a visit to the well-known Sesriem Canyon.

Route Sani Pass, Lesotho Winter Trip
14-17 June 2019

Based in the Drakensberg Mountains, The Sani Pass is a steep, zigzagging pass that climbs to an altitude of just under 3 000m and offers official access to the “Roof of Africa”. It is here that you’ll find what people travel all over the world to see – the most incredible panoramic views of the Drakensberg Mountain range, with the Lesotho Mountain range in the background.

Getting there is not for the faint-hearted that said with your off-roader and our experienced instructors you will have no problems…just follow the instructions and you’ll be fine. We’ll be pushing our cars to a reasonable limit, whilst at the same time observing caution for safety.

Day 1 (14 June 2018)
The group will meet at 19h00 at the Sun Lounge of the Sani Pass Hotel for evening drinks to get to know your Route Sani companions better. The group will have dinner at the Sani Pass Hotel.

Day 2 (15 June 2019)
After an early-morning breakfast at the Sani Pass Hotel, it’s time to tackle the famous 14km Sani Pass. You will need a valid passport. Scaling the pass is not a race to the top but a leisurely cruise to take in the breathtaking scenery of the rolling green hills of Lesotho and this World Heritage Site…

The Majestic (Moremi & Boteti) Safari, Botswana
13-22 July 2019

Our aim is to create the original safari (expedition) atmosphere of an unhurried life-changing journey to this pristine wilderness area. The convoy will make regular stops for environmental, historical and cultural interpretation or to share special experiences with countless photographic opportunities. The Okavango Delta is the 1 000th World Heritage site, recognized as one of the world’s great places. The area sustains a population of several globally threatened mammals and birds. It also hosts the largest population of Elephant in the world.
A world of wonder and natural beauty awaits you on the Moremi safari.

Day 1 (13 July 2019)
We will meet at Khama Rhino Sanctuary inside Botswana. It’s time to ensure that all your camping gear is ready for the rest of the safari.

Day 2/3 (14, 15 July 2019)
After an early breakfast, we travel north to Maun for a two-night stay in Maun at Island Safari Lodge. A sundowner boat cruise into the Delta will be on the cards. It’s time to get organized and to stock up for our next part of the adventure. Enjoy a scenic flight over the Okavango Delta, giving you a better understanding of this complex eco-system. From here we head into the Okavango Delta for a 5-day camping experience.

Reflections of Nature, Chobe & Khumaga, Botswana
15-24 August 2019

Due to the low population density of this area, there is very little light pollution and the skies here are the cleanest in Africa.
Sleeping under the skies is an unparalleled way to experience the beauty of the Chobe National Park and the Makgadikgadi Pans.
Visit Elephant Sands, Chobe Game Reserve, Victoria Waterfalls, Baines Baobabs, Planet Baobab and the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park in Botswana.
The vast Makgadikgadi salt pans form the backdrop of the second largest migration of zebra in Africa.

Namaqualand Flower Safari, Northern Cape
2-10 September 2019

Experience one of the world’s most colorful botanical wonders as vast tapestries of brightly colored flowers emerge all over Namaqualand.
A 9-day, 8-night fully catered self-drive tour with the lodge and Guest Farm accommodation (dinner, bed, and breakfast are included).
A highlight of the tour is an overnight stay on what is said to be the southern hemisphere’s largest date farm. Not to mention all the back roads we will be using.
