Who are we? Le Petit Karoo is a 3 star Guest House situated on top of a hill of 50 hectares in the stunning Little Karoo near to the town of Oudtshoorn. It welcomes you to relax in a South African nature setting that will stay with you for a long time. About Pascal Pascal Chanel, the owner of the Little Karoo, arrived in South Africa in 2003 with his family from France. Settled in the area of Oudtshoorn, they created this wonderful place and convivial escape.

A large, comfortable deck means that you are able to sit out and enjoy panoramic views of both the Outeniqua and the Swartberg mountains, breathtaking sunsets while overlooking the fertile Schoemanshoek valley and star-filled Karoo night skies. Come check-in while the sun is still out to fully benefit from and appreciate the magnificent views and sunsets! The panoramic view is wonderful, the accommodation is cozy and food awesome. Moreover, you can discover the region through different activities.
Come benefit from the panoramic view of the Outeniqua and Swartberg mountains, the breathtaking sunset while looking over the fertile valley of Schoemanshoek and the star-lit Karoo night skies. The town of Oudtshoorn is the world’s ostrich capital. A wide range of events occurs each year ranging from sport to music to arts and culture, for example, the Klein Karoo National Arts Festival (KKNK), Cango Caves Marathon, To Hell and Back Mountain Bike Race. Come discover this area by taking part in activities (hiking, horseback riding or on a carriage ride) Situated close to the Cango Caves (one of the most marvelous caves in the world), the Cango Wildlife Ranch (where you can touch cheetahs or even swim with crocodiles) and Ostrich farms… This is a place you won’t want to forget!
We have two family rooms with full bedding and electric blankets. There is a queen sized bed and a bunk bed sleeps four in total per room (2 adults and 2 ` children). We also have two double rooms with a queen sized bed and a single bed also with full bedding and electric blankets. There are plug points, kettle with coffee and tea amenities and an en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi in all rooms. Wi-Fi in rooms. Desk with a chair for writing your postcards and letters.
We have 3 beautiful bush tents with breathtaking views on the Swartberg Mountains. Each room has space for 2 and its own open-air jacuzzi! There are coffee/tea facilities, plugs and in/outside lights, full bedding with electric blankets and a deck area for writing your postcards. Breakfast and dinner can be enjoyed on your deck or in the common area.
A beautiful unit with stone walls and a canvas roof overlooking the Karoo nature. Enjoy breakfast on your private deck and cool down in your private plunge pool. This is a unique experience and the unit sleeps two guests making it ideal for honeymooners. The unit includes tea and coffee facilities and an en-suite bathroom with a big shower.
Breakfast and dinner can be enjoyed on your private deck or in the common room.
