Serendipity Eco Trails offers a wide range of challenging and incredibly entertaining routes for all off-road motorsport enthusiasts. For those who’d prefer to enjoy the gorgeous scenery on foot, there are a number of hiking and trail running routes available. Fully immerse yourself in the picturesque mountainous bushveld, taking note of the indigenous animal and plant life found around you. Also on offer are various mountain biking trails, as well as ample opportunity for bird watching and photography, so don’t forget to bring along your binoculars and camera. Serendipity Eco Trails also has a number of accommodation options available, ranging from campsites to treehouses. Serendipity Eco Trails is situated on a private game farm Tierkloof, in the district of Mookgopong (Naboomspruit), Limpopo Province, 140 km from Pretoria. They specialize in: 4X4, Enduro Two Wheeler, Mountain bike and Hiking Trails, set out over 2000 hectares of mountainous bushveld with a variety of game.
The 3 Hour 4×4 trail is family-orientated, but still offers the driver excellent challenges with river crossings and steep rocky ascents and descents. There is also a 1 hour trail of moderate difficulty, as well as a half an hour playground and an extreme challenge trail.
Day Visitors – R250 per day per vehicle
Weekend Visitors – R250 per weekend per vehicle
Group Bookings 5 and more – R 250 per vehicle; 10 and more – R200 per vehicle
Notice: If ground clearance, is lower than 220mm it’s a good idea to remove the running boards and tow bars beforehand.
No 4×2 vehicles allowed on the 4×4 trails – A R2000.00 fine will be imposed on offenders
Two Wheeler Enduro trails:
Encompass a wide variety of terrains and cater for all levels of riders. There is approximately 110 km of marked Enduro trail, ranging from the tame to the more extreme terrains. The Green trail (suitable for novice riders and experienced juniors) is approximately 30 km, described as an open trail with some stones, but nothing too technical. The Blue trail (suitable for intermediate riders) is approximately 35 km, with some open trail and moderately technical rock sections and stream beds. For the slightly more adventurous and experienced rider. The Red trail (suitable for expert riders) is approximately 40 km long with challenging mountain riding, steep rocky climbs and descents, some stream beds and a lot of rock sections. Excellent for expert riders and those who want to do some race training.
All three trials have marked shortcuts, should a rider choose to ‘escape’ or if streams are flooded.
Weekend Visitors: Variety 100 CC Plus – R 250 per Two Wheeler p/w; Less than 100 CC – R 150 per Two Wheeler p/w
Day Visitors: 100 CC Plus – R 250 per Two Wheeler per day; Less than 100 CC – R 150 per Two Wheeler per day
DS Bikes: R 150 per DS Bike per weekend
There are a variety of gorgeous hiking trails.
A new dedicated mountain bike trail has been opened. With 5km distances of average difficulty (green), in beautiful surroundings. Come for a nice ride with the whole family.

For the avid bird watchers, you can look forward to seeing the Gymnogene, Mountain Wagtail, Mocking Chat, Green Twinspot, African Green-Pigeon and Black Eagle, to name a few.

Route through Modimolle to Serendipity:
On the N1 to Polokwane take the Modimolle off-ramp at Kranskop Tollgate. In Modimolle turn right into Thabo Mbeki road. Follow the road (R101) for 16 Km. Turn left on the Mookgopong road (R101). After 8 Km look for the Serendipity gate on the left. Follow the route markers on the farm.
Alternative route to Serendipity:
Drive through Kranskop Tollgate on the N1 towards Polokwane. Follow the N1 for 33 Km after the tollgate. Take the Mookgopong off ramp. After 3 Km turn left on the R101 to Modimolle. After 12 Km look for the Serendipity gate on your right. Follow the route markers on the farm.
