The Wildrun is organized by Wildrunner, premier trail running event organizers in South Africa. We focus on pure trail running with a heartbeat born from a lifetime’s passion of exploring wild places on the run.
Wildrunner was established in November 2007 and has held over 200 trail running events in seven South African provinces, as well as Internationally in Lesotho, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Botswana.
With this comes a wealth of trail and mountain running event management experience that is unmatched in Africa.
A 92km, a 3-day trail running safari experience through the culturally significant & wildlife-rich bushveld of the Greater Mapungubwe Transfrontier Conservation Area. From the ancient Mapungubwe citadel in South Africa, to the rolling savannah of Botswana’s Tuli block; this journey of discovery takes us across the mighty Limpopo River to the banks of the gigantic Shashe River, through the rural villages of Maramani, past huge Baobabs & along ancient elephant trails etched into stone in Zimbabwe; this is the ultimate safari-on-the-run experience in one of Africa’s most sought-after big-game areas.

This is a nine-day trail running adventure tour through the truly remarkable and rich landscapes of Rwanda. From the rim of Bisoke Volcanos’ crater lake in the North, to the mountain primate rich rainforests of Nyungwe in the South West, this guided running adventure takes on the very experiences that make Rwanda so unique in Africa. This all-inclusive package ensures that all you need to focus on is absorbing as much of the rich Rwandan experience as you can, either while on the run or whilst touring. Daily running distances vary depending on the transfer times and itinerary, and all runs remain optional.
